The 1916 Cervantes commemoratives

In 1916 a recess printed "commemorative issue" for the three hundredth anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes was distributed among Spanish congressmen. Though not officially issued, these private vignettes (without any face value) could be used on April 22 and 23, 1916 with the correspondence of the members of the Spanish congress and senate. Two "series" in different colours were issued, the first one for the congress and the second one for the senate. A special postmark (see below) was in use on April 22.
